I’ve often described my decision to take an early retirement from being a magazine art director to pursue full-time fine art as “jumping off a cliff,” and that I found stepping stones floating into place leading me towards my goals.

I always thought of Wile E Coyote from the “Roadrunner” cartoons. He never gave up. But his focus was always on a scrawny desert bird. He just needed to aim a little higher. So this is my tribute to his determination and dedication. What if the Acme catalog was REAL?

I created everything from scratch with the exception of the wooden toy-maker’s wheels and the leather strap that I found at https://www.steampunkgoggles.com/, an item they sold to replace elastic straps for Steampunk-style costume goggles.
